7 Cushman Street, Portland

It’s no stretch to say, anyone who has visited Portland has imagined what it would be like to actually live here. Living in Portland has the obvious advantages of any urban area, and then there is the vibe that’s exclusive only to this town.

Portland is the definition of a New England port city, but with the arts, the cultural diversity, and let’s not forget, more cool restaurants and cozy pubs than one could count. For people looking for a home in Portland, #7 Cushman street is just that, a home.

Jodie and Mark found out how welcoming their new neighborhood was on the very first morning there. They woke up to find their neighbor’s two toddlers delivering a fresh batch of scones. They discovered quickly their home was considered “The place to be” by all their friends. They hosted many gatherings where they would play and make music. On the rare occasions they didn’t have company, Mark and Jodie enjoyed their home together.

Jodie always loved the living room’s curved wall and Mark’s favorite place was the entry hall. This home was built in the true spirit of a Victorian cape, with the high ceilings and original wide board floors.

Now, use your imagination again… It’s you, you’re living in Portland, the west end.

We know. Let’s stop the make-believe. Like Jodie and Mark have said many times before, tell us what time you’ll be over, we’ll let you in.

65 Wylie Lane, Long Island, Maine

How many times have we all seen pictures of an Island off the coast of Maine? We’ve all enjoyed these photos, almost hearing the waves break, leaving white foam on the rocks, seaside hammocks and the promise of fresh, salty ocean air.

Pat and Tom have been lucky enough to spend many days here living these experiences. One might think it was an easy answer when we asked what Pat and Tom would call their favorite memories here.

However; It wasn't that easy an answer when you’ve spent so many happy times with family and friends here. How do you have a favorite place in a home with a view of the Atlantic ocean waiting just outside every window. Tom and Pat did agree that the cozy warmth of the living room was their go to place in this home and a favorite place to sip wine with friends, surrounded by the natural beauty of knotty pine walls.

Tom noted that relaxing on the front porch with the sound of waves splashing on the rocks was another of his favorite hangouts. No pictures or words can bring to life the smells of the ocean, the sounds of the island and the visual beauty of this piece of Earth and It’s too cliche to say this is a must see.

From the pictures alone, you know what you need to do. Get on a boat, right? Yes!

Get on a boat! If it smells like Maine, looks like Maine and sounds like Maine...

94 Longwoods Road, Falmouth

How many miles does one drive to find the intersection of warm and welcoming, modern and functional?...

Longwoods Road in Falmouth is such a place. A.J. and Roxanne knew this when they brought their newborn daughter home from the hospital to this home. It was one of life’s milestones they will always think about fondly as their favorite memory here.

They will always remember those first nights in the nursery, holding their newborn trying to do everything just right. As with any home, there is a favorite place. Roxanne and A.J. loved the family room with the large panoramic windows looking into the back yard and forest beyond.

What they enjoyed most about this home, was having the space and freedom for bonfires in the built-in stone wall fireplace out back. This is the perfect home to entertain friends and family, or to enjoy your own brand of privacy just a few miles from all Portland has to offer. For young professionals looking for a sturdy, modern home, or a couple looking for a safe place to raise a family, this is worth a visit.

We think you’ll agree this home sits at that hard to find intersection of comfy and functional.

Make this home yours.

A house, a home, story: 59 West Street in Portland

Possibilities... Imagine,  living in a sturdy brick building in the most beautiful city in New England. What picture comes to mind in one’s head? The thought of living in the affluent West End neighborhood of Portland is only the beginning.

Imagine putting up the Christmas tree in front of the bay windows in the living room. Imagine entertaining neighbors, relatives, and friends - and there was plenty of room for everybody... Cooking while enjoying the views of a beautiful neighborhood from the large living room windows; watching how the sunlight moves throughout the condo during the course of the day.

For Jon and Meg, this home made an ideal sanctuary for their family. This is where they learned the art of relaxation. They watched their daughter and budding librarian Lily organize all of their books in the big yellow room.

They loved it all; the large living room, the copious light, the spaciousness, gleaming floors and large kitchen, where no one ever bumped into each other while getting dinner ready ...

Imagined enough?...

Having a beautiful home is always a plus. Having a beautiful home in the West End neighborhood of Portland is over the top.

Come over and see this building, this neighborhood, this condo. We think you’ll find it as beautiful as we have...
